Renu LalFor Children and adults alike, Henna tattoo’s are a wonderful way to celebrate any special occasion or experience a tattoo without a permanent effect.

The use of henna to adorn the body is centuries old.  In many cultures, henna tattoo’s have been used for celebrating different events such as, weddings, goddess gatherings, adorning a pregnant woman’s belly to bless the unborn child and more.  Recently, people have become more of the spiritual meaning behind this old tradition.

My first experience with a henna tattoo, was at the beginning of my path as an energy worker/practioner. I asked the artist to do what she felt I needed and she turned my hand over and proceeded to draw a Mandela on the palm of my hand with the henna paste. Being an energy worker, sensitive to energy, I immediately felt the buzzing in the palm of my hand.  At that time, I did not know that we had a chakra in the middle of the palm and when she looked at me, she said “Now the energy is open and will flow better, out of your hands.”  This was such a powerful and sacred experience that most often, I will stop and indulge in a tattoo and see what new doors will open.

Renu is a well know artist from California who is very excited to come to Tucson and share her gift with us.  The paste is gentle applied to the skin and allowed to dry. As the paste flakes off, the stain from the henna leaves the beautiful design that lasts for around 2 to 3 weeks.    She has many designs to choose from or you may bring your own, starting at only $20.  She works with children as well and can do fairies, dragons and simple stars and hearts.

Please call 744-4402 to schedule an appointment or stop by on the 17th or 18th.  Make this a fun outing with friends and enjoy cup of tea with a brief free mini reading with Aitreyia.
