Kokopelli’s Dream

Learn to Play the Native American Flute
Saturday March 20th, 1pm - 5pm

Native American Flutes In this Workshop you will learn basic 5-hole fingering of the Lakota style flute, various fingering and breathing techniques for different sounds and how to read and play simple “Flute notation” songs.

This is an ancient instrument that was used in many Native American tribes as a “Courting” instrument by the men and was put away after marriage, so as not to threaten the marriage with the temptation of courting another.  It is an instrument of the heart and can be learned easily.   Calm your Spirit with the soothing sounds.  Connect with your heart to gain clarity about your purpose and passion in life. Or, just relax, ahhhhhhh…., and let the flute carry you to your creative center.

You don’t need to know anything about music to learn and will be able to play simple tunes by the end of class!  Now is the time to allow yourself to express the beauty and love that you have within you.

Class Includes either a cedar flute $188 or $168 (walnut or Spanish Cedar) Instructional CD & Booklet.
