In the class we learn and practice exercises that allow the body to release tension in a natural way, through neurogenic tremors. It is something almost anyone can do. Neurogenic tremors are the body’s way of releasing built up stress. These tremors occur naturally in mammals, but due to the human advanced neocortex (thinking part of the brain), we habitually override this natural process resulting in a build up of tension in the nervous system. We all know that stress is a huge factor in our state of health. This class is a series of simple exercises that we both practice during class and learn to practice on our own.
No previous experience necessary, please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat or large towel to lie on.

Reiki is an ancient Japanese method of hands on energy transfer and healing that promotes stress reduction and relaxation, the fundamentals of healing and well being. Those who come to receive Reiki will participate in a meditation and then receive energy in a hands-on seated Reiki session. Sessions will last about 20 minutes, and we will conduct rounds until all who wish to receive have done so.
Reiki practitioners of any level are invited to come to share energy and to receive as well. The Reiki Circle meets the third Friday of every month.
