Dream Catchers
Dream catchers come to us from Native Americans traditions. Many believe they protect a sleeping person from negative dreams, while letting the positive dreams through. The positive dreams slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would get caught up in the web, and then expire when the first rays of the sun struck them. It is ideal to hang the dream catcher in a window where it faces the rising sun.
One element of Native American dream catcher relates to the tradition of the hoop, which symbolizes strength and unity.

Aitreyia just returned from a buying trip to San Francisco with many new and unusual goodies. She met Ying, whose name translates to Cherry Blossom. Ying personally visits the tea gardens in China and Taiwan to bring back the highest quality of teas available. She blends the teas herself to enhance their natural healing and energetic properties. Spirit'sChild is now pleased to make these special treats available right here in Tucson.
We are very excited about Chocolate & Mint Oolong Teas along with Oolong Sweet Orange tea, all of which are lovely hot or iced. Oolong is a large class of teas, and what makes an Oolong an Oolong is that the tea leaves are dried under the sun and oxidized. All Oolong teas promote weight loss and are great for digestion. They also delay signs of ageing, and lower both cholesterol and blood pressure. All while being really yummy and fun!

Incense
The word "Incense" comes to us from the Latin, "incendere" and means "to burn." Incense is composed of aromatic biotic materials, which release fragrant smoke when burned. The use of incense dates back to ancient times and has been found in many cultures around the world:
- Ancient Egypt may have invented incense. They used it to drive away demons and please their gods.
- Sumerian and Babylonian cultures used gum resins in religious ceremonies and when offering prayers to divining oracles.
- Indus Civilization used incense burners. Evidence suggests oils were used mainly for their aroma.
- Ancient Greece and Rome. Before trades routes expanded to include resin incense, temples kept fires burning all the time and people dropped herbs and poured precious oils into them.
- Japan, where incense was introduces by Korean Buddhist monks, but later spread to the samurai, who might perfume their helmets and armor with incense to achieve an aura of invincibility.
These days, incense has several purposes, such as:

Spirit'sChild has stick and cone incense, as well as resin incense. The resin incense burns over charcoal, which Sprit'sChild also carries. Our incense are made from essential oils, and never contain any paraffin or other toxins. Most of our stick burn up to a solid hour.

Sonoma Lavender
Lavender, which is most well known as a sleep aid, has been tucked into these sweet stuffed animals. You can even microwave the cuddly toy for a minute for a warm, fragrant hug. Remove the lavender/flaxseed insert to wash in cold water.
Spirit'sChild also carries organic lavender buds. Our buds come in two grades, and one of the grades is suitable for cooking or blending to make teas.To make a quick drawer freshener, place a handful of lavender buds in an old sock and knot it.
Lavender Essential Oil, made from lavender buds, is also available. It can be used as an antiseptic and to help relieve burns. To help clear skin problems such as acne, dilute 1:10 with water, rosewater, or witch hazel and apply directly to skin.
Add several drops of lavender oil to the washer's final rinse cycle, or scent a cloth with a few drops of lavender oil and throw it in the dryer to freshen a load of newly laundered clothes.
Oxidized "Splash" Copper
Copper can combat lethargy, passivity, restlessness, excitablit and and non-acceptance of onesself. It can stimultate inittiave, optimism, diplomacy, and independence.
Chalcanthite
Chalcanthite improves communication, releases limitations, assist with living in the momement with joy. This is an excellent mineral for activation of the throat chakra.
